I love all your staff, always feel so welcome and special when I come to the office. I have traveled more than 3 hours to and 3 hours back home on a regular basis for more than a year. I choose to do so because of the great way I'm treated. I have worked as an RN in a clinic and hospital setting for more than 30 years and know much about efficient, professional, and competent medical care. Your practice has all that and great customer service. Dr. Hsu has treated me with much kindness and excellence. Thank you for the great care I receive each time I visit your office. - KJ
Safety and optimizing surgical outcomes are two of Dr. Hsu's philosophies in achieving consistent and striking results. Common complications in surgery include bleeding, infection and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) which can be life threatening. Dr. Hsu has focused on analyzing outcomes in cosmetic and reconstructive patients in an effort to educate plastic surgeons around the world. He has authored three important chapters in the patient safety issue of Seminars of Plastic Surgery titled "Optimization of Patient Safety in Cosmetic Surgery" on bleeding, infection and most importantly, DVT prevention.
Dr. Hsu continues to educate not only young plastic surgeons but also other physicians as well. He is recently co-author of a text book titled Plastic Surgery Emergencies: Principles and Techniques. This book is a concise guide to the principles and procedures for rapidly evaluating and treating acute care problems in the emergency room setting or during on-call consultations. It instructs the reader in protocols for the full range of common and uncommon problems and is an indispensable resource for clinicians, residents, and trainees in plastic surgery, as well as for emergency room personnel and family practice physicians.
