As a world renowned, Houston Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Schusterman has established his reputation through his research and development of microsurgical reconstruction techniques in the aid of head, neck and breast cancer patients. As an educator, Dr. Schusterman remains current on the latest techniques and technologies in plastic and cosmetic surgery. His teaching experience includes lectures and scientific presentations at more than 200 educational symposia.

Dr. Schusterman has held many distinguished academic and professional appointments. His major tenure was at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he held the prestigious Charles M. McBride Professorship in Surgical Oncology. He has served as a visiting professor at the Catholic University in Rome, The Cleveland Clinic, Duke University in North Carolina, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Mount Sinai Hospitals in New York, and Tata Hospital in Bombay, to name a few.
