Like everyone else on December 7, 2007, Dr. Mark Schusterman was stunned when all Fig clinics for Advanced LipoDissolve were closed due to "economic circumstances beyond our control" as cited by Fig CEO, Rob Semaan and his stated intent to file Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
Dr. Schusterman can help you continue with treatments. He has all Houston patients' charts and medical records, so your information is safe and sound. He does not, however, have access to any funds previously paid to Fig. All financial claims must be made through Fig and will follow the bankruptcy process. Here is what you can do to apply for a refund of fees paid to Fig for services:
1) For Care Credit Patients
Send your dispute in writing to:

2) If you paid using a credit card or bank
account, you may check with the corresponding institution regarding
filing a dispute for non-receipt of prepaid services.
3) If you paid via check
or cash, there should eventually
be information listed on the Fig website (www.fig.com)
with instructions for filing a claim.
This is the only information that we have to assist
you in filing a claim for refund.
Continuing LipoDissolve Treatment Options
Dr. Schusterman offers two options to those former Fig clients wishing to continue LipoDissolve treatments.
Option 1:
Dr. Schusterman is offering continued treatments to
existing Fig patients for the cost of an office visit
which is $75. You will not be asked to pay in advance
for treatments to come, simply pay for each office
visit until you have reached your goals. Whether
you were treating one area or three areas you may
be treated for the $75 fee as long as those areas
were previously purchased at Fig. Additional areas
may be purchased at original prices.
This offer will allow you to continue your treatments
and get your desired result at a fraction of your original
cost and you will still be eligible to seek refunds
from Fig through their bankruptcy proceedings. For
example, if you paid $6000 for 3 areas ($2000 each
area), and you have been treated twice, you have probably
not yet seen any major results as it takes an average
of six treatments to see results. If you continued
with 4 more treatments at the cost of $75 for each
office visit, you could get your $6000 worth of results
for only $300.
Option 2:
Under Dr. Schusterman's direction, we will continue
to deliver LipoDissolve treatments and therefore,
we are interested in promoting these services to
new patients, as well as taking care of former Fig
patients.
If you refer a patient who purchases LipoDissolve, YOU CAN RECEIVE ALL SUBSEQUENT LIPODISSOLVE TREATMENTS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. When one of your referrals makes a purchase, your office visit fee of $75 will be waived for the remainder of your treatment areas.
